The Aviation Institute does not have any onsite accommodation, although there are many offsite options to suit students individual needs and budgets. Students undertaking longer duration aircraft maintenance or customer service training generally reside in homestays, hostels or rented accommodation.


This is a great option for international students as your host family will introduce you to a kiwi lifestyle and help you with local knowledge. Typically a homestay will include most meals.
Cost: $180 - $250 a week.


Hostel accommodation typically offers single or double rooms with a bed, drawers and table. There are shared bathroom and kitchen facilities and meals are not provided. Most student hostels are located in the central city. Cost: $90 - $150 per week

Flatting and REnted accommodation

The benefit of this is that you may find something closer to the training centre or within walking distance of transport and shopping centres.
Cost: $120 - $200 per depending on location


In Auckland try the Holiday Inn Auckland Airport or Grand Chancellor Auckland Airport - both a short walk from the Aviation Institute.

For Christchurch, try the Suidma Hotel Christchurch Airport it's only a short 2 minute walk away.
