enrolment process

The following steps outline our enrolment process.

  1. Confirm you will meet the pre-requisite requirements for this course (excluding the Air New Zealand Placement Test, this will be arranged later)
  2. Complete this online enrolment form.
  3. You will be contacted by the Aviation Institute, and requested to provide supporting documentation (passport copy, recent IELTS or equivalent certificate, and academic/high school transcripts)
  4. The Aviation Institute will review your supporting documentation, and arrange for a Placement Test to be conducted online or locally. Depending on demand from the country you are applying from, you may need to travel regionally to attend a Placement Test.

On successful completion of the Air New Zealand Aviation Institutes Placement Test you will be provided a placement letter. If you choose to accept this, a training agreement and invoice for the course fees will be forwarded to you.

  1. On receipt of your training agreement and course fees, the Aviation Institute will forward to you and your nearest New Zealand Immigration office a Visa Invitation letter. You should include a copy of this letter with your visa application.
  2. Obtain Medical and Travel Insurance covering the period of your travel to/from and stay in New Zealand.
  3. Start your aircraft maintenance career!
