FAQ's

Who can apply for the Air New Zealand Aviation Institute's First Officer Programme?

The First Officer Programme is open to enrolments from international and domestic airline sponsored cadets.

What is an airline sponsored cadet?

An airline sponsored cadet is an individual that has been selected by an airline as a prospective future pilot for that airline, and during training will have their costs met by the airline.

I'm an international student with no airline sponsorship, can I enrol in the First Officer Programme?

No, you can not enrol directly with the Air New Zealand Aviation Institute, but you are able to access the same quality flight training with our partner Flight Training Organisations (FTO Partner) if you wish to fund your own flight training. Training enquires and enrolment applications should be made directly with your choosen FTO partner.
