The School of Engineering's professional programmes are offered from all 3 Aviation Institute campuses and customer locations globally. Its more frequently run type rating courses are multi-regulator approved and delivered in paperless classrooms with integrated maintenance training software providing a world-class learning environment. 

The School of Engineering is the primary training provider for Air New Zealand Engineering & Maintenance and supports this division with an extensive range of courses for apprentice programmes, recurrent training, maintenance practices, specific type related courses and human factors. Aircraft maintenance engineers are welcome to enrol into our open courses being held in New Zealand or to request a customer specific course be scheduled at their own location. 

Who are our customers?
Our biggest and core customer is Air New Zealand Engineering and Maintenance who we support across New Zealand and at line stations around the world. 

Airline and MRO customers seek out training courses when their inhouse capability is unable to provide. The most common requests are for type and familiarisation courses or human factors training.

Individuals already in the industry regularly enrol in our scheduled courses in New Zealand and attend alongside Air New Zealand's own staff.
