Simulator Training

for airline professionals

The Aviation Institute operates 8 full flight simulators with associated training devices and classrooms to support the operations of Air New Zealand's jet and turboprop fleet. All flight simulators are available for dry hire by airline crews and where capacity is available type training courses and other training or checking can be provided.

Who are our customers?
Our Flight crew customers are a mix of airline crews who operate the same type(s) as Air New Zealand or individuals looking to get type rated or checked for a particular licence or endorsement.

Our regular airline customers normally operate locally in New Zealand, Australia and the Pacfic Islands. Customers from further afield generally have their own service into Auckland simplifying crew travel for simulator training.
